This systematic review examines recent scientific literature on sustainability in logistics and operations, aiming to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities in this field. A comprehensive search was conducted across five electronic databases (Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar) using a combination of relevant keywords. Twenty-one studies published from 2019 onwards that met the predefined inclusion criteria were selected. The review findings reveal a growing importance of green logistics and the circular economy as key strategies for sustainability in the sector. Practices such as transport optimization, emission reduction, efficient resource management, and material reuse were identified as essential elements for transitioning towards a more sustainable business model. The review also highlights the need for a holistic approach that integrates sustainability into the overall supply chain management and considers the particularities of each context. It is concluded that the adoption of sustainable practices in logistics and operations not only benefits the environment but also generates economic advantages for companies, improves their corporate image, and strengthens their competitive position.
