The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of strategic plans based on the application of the balanced scorecard as an administrative control tool to optimize financial management in the company Industrias Celta, S.A., located in Morón, Carabobo State, Venezuela. The methodology was framed within a descriptive research level, of quantitative type, with a non-experimental field research design. The population consisted of 9 employees and workers who worked in the administrative area of the company Industrias Celta, S.A., and the non-probabilistic sample was represented by the total population. The information was collected through the application of a closed-response questionnaire, which consisted of three response options: Yes, no, don’t know, and was validated through the judgment of experts. The results were analyzed using the distribution of absolute and relative frequencies. This analysis allowed us to conclude that Industrias Celta, S.A. has procedures that allow it to develop and control its activities and that it has strategies for achieving its objectives; however, there is still a lack of knowledge about which procedures could be the most assertive for the achievement of such objectives and goals.
